Chris Stone

Chris Stone, AIA, turned to architecture after many years of working in fine arts, including a year studying photography in Paris, and several installations with artist Mary Miss. His art and architecture are influenced by the minimalism of the 1970s’ Land art movement, particularly the distilled architecture of its simple, sculptural forms. Mr. Stone’s ongoing dialogue with the art world is evinced by his focus on clients who are collectors, gallerists, museum personnel, or artists themselves. Because he shares their interests, Mr. Stone is skilled at interpreting the architectural and spatial desires of his clients.

Mr. Stone worked with Rafael Vinoly Architects and served as project architect on Philadelphia’s Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts. He is a graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design. He also studied at the American University in Paris. Mr. Stone is a registered architect in New York, Connecticut, and Colorado.
